ABOUT THE ARTIST

Erika is fascinated by the idea that a bead may have been crafted by many different hands into many different things through the years. She finds endless creative fuel in the remarkable diversity of beadwork which spans not only our planet but our human history.

Self-taught, Erika credits the generosity of the beading community for making it possible to learn so much through self-study. She credits visionary artists Joyce J. Scott, David Chatt, Jan Huling, Betsy Youngquist and Nancy Josephson for inspiring her to follow the transformative beaded path.
